Modular and compact, virtuous and powerful, this 3-cylinder engine is a concentrate of efficiency and advanced technology. 
It delivers a driving pleasure among the best in the market at the lowest engine speeds and displays an excellent compromise
between torque and engine power. Equipped with the same power and enjoyment, this technology breaks down consumption
and CO₂ emissions by up to 25%. In its turbocharged version, the 1,2L PureTech 110 S & S was even voted engine of the year 2015 in its class. On the new PEUGEOT 208, they are fuel-efficient gasoline engines with mixed consumption all under 4.5 L / 100 kmi Combined with the new EAT6 automatic transmission, the PureTech 110 S & S EAT6 1.2L turbocharged version features
CO₂ emissions of just 104 g / kmi, making it the petrol's automatic gasoline reference.


The new PEUGEOT 208 is equipped with the 1.2L PureTech 110 S & S, the EAT6 automatic transmission with 6-speed converter, 
optimizing fuel consumption and driving sensations. It ensures fast, smooth and multiple ratios. On the other hand, its efficiency (energy efficiency) is virtually equivalent to that of a mechanical gearbox thanks to the reduction
of internal friction, and the combination of lockable converters whenever necessary to avoid slippage. This results in an emission differential with a manual transmission reduced to 1 g / km (with identical tires), making this version
very well positioned for pleasure and consumption.


The generation of BlueHDi engines of the new PEUGEOT 208 meets the Euro 6 standard

BlueHDi engines combine high performance, controlled fuel consumption and contained emissions. On the new PEUGEOT 208, 
they are all below 95 g / km CO₂ and 3.6 L / 100km and make the 1.6L BlueHDi family the most economical and efficient diesel
engine range on the market, with Combined CO₂ emissions of 79 g / km on the low-power versions 75 and 100 ch.


BlueHDI technology optimizes power consumption with SCRi and FAPi technologies

The implantation of the SCR positioned upstream of the additive FAP makes it possible to:
  • Faster priming - after the vehicle is started - thanks to its low temperature operation.
  • Reduce NOx (oxides of nitrogen) by up to 90%.
  • Remove the particles by 99.9% by number.
  • Optimize CO₂ emissions and fuel consumption (up to -4% compared to Euro 5 engines).


Quick, efficient and quiet, the Stop & Start technology allows the engine to "standby", just before 
and during the immobilization of the car, thus better controlling fuel consumption and reducing CO2 emissions. When releasing the brake pedal, the restart is instantaneous, without noise and without vibration.


The new PEUGEOT 208, in its Very Low Consumption version of the 1.6L BlueHDi 100 S & S with 5-speed manual gearbox, 
set a new long-distance consumption record approved by the UTACi on the Belchamp circuit in France. 2,152 km were flown in 38 hours with 43 liters of diesel, an average fuel consumption of only 2.0 l / 100 km.
This record confirms the technological excellence of the Euro 6 BlueHDi diesel engines and their contribution to the reduction
of CO2 emissions. The new PEUGEOT 208 is thus the world reference for a series model equipped with a heat engine.
